Family Seeks Justice After Dog Killed by Cybertruck in Wisconsin
Viewer Discretion Advised
The following video contains footage that some viewers may find distressing.
A local man, Eli, is raising serious concerns about Tesla's self-driving technology after a heartbreaking incident in which his family dog, Maddy, was struck and killed by a Cybertruck while crossing a path late Sunday night.
Eli says he was walking Maddy along a familiar route when a Cybertruck sped through a nearby crosswalk. Due to poor nighttime visibility, Eli was unable to pull Maddy back in time, and the vehicle fatally struck her.
The loss has devastated the family.

Maddy, the beloved family dog
"I've never been a fan of self-driving vehicles," Eli said. "We've all seen examples of new, unsafe technology harming the public. I never thought my family would become one of those stories."
Eli has spoken with the driver and is cooperating fully with police. He emphasized that he does not believe the driver is at fault. Instead, he places responsibility on Tesla's autonomous systems.
"Tesla and their robotics are not safe to be used on public roads. My family is angered by the negligence of Tesla for allowing something this terrible to happen."
Eli has made the decision to publicly share video of the incident, hoping to raise awareness about the dangers he believes are still present in autonomous driving technology.
No Response from Tesla
He and his girlfriend have attempted to contact Tesla directly, but so far, the family says they have received no response or apology from the company.
In response, Eli has begun raising funds to file a Civil Complaint for Strict Product Liability, Negligence, and Failure to Warn against Tesla.
"We will be proceeding with a lawsuit," he said. "Please share our video with your loved ones and stay safe on the roads."
Broader Implications
The family hopes their story will spark broader discussions about public safety, corporate accountability, and the risks associated with rapidly advancing automation.
